The MetFit fitting construction is elegantly simple. The stiffener, with its exterior sealing grooves, is insert-molded into the super-tough nylon housing. The stainless steel compression ring is then pulled over the nylon compression ridges with a simple installation tool. The high compression force causes the pipe to cold flow into the stiffener sealing grooves, creating a hermetic seal on the inside surface. MetFit End Caps safely and permanently shut off the gas service.
