Floating Ball Valves
BROEN’s floating ball valves are the best choice when it comes to steel ball valves for natural gas distribution systems. They are designed and manufactured for safety and flexibility, to ensure your pipeline – no matter what type – doesn’t leak at the valves.
Three Valve Styles
(1) Pipeline – Popular valve style, offering extensive configuration options for a wide range of applications.
(2) Premium – Built with extra-strong forged components for enhanced performance and a compact design.
(3) Utility – A short-pattern, flanged-end ball valve designed as a cost-effective solution for replacements.
Whatever your pipeline demands, BROEN delivers – offering unmatched configuration flexibility, fast lead times, and proven performance across a wide range of natural gas applications. Ballomax floating ball valves feature a durable carbon steel body and 304 stainless steel ball and stem, with size options ranging from 3/4” to 8”. They are designed to handle pressure ratings from ANSI 150 (285 PSI) up to ANSI 300 (740 PSI), and operate reliably in service temperatures from -20°F to 250°F. Flexible end configurations include female threads, weld, weld x flanged, and flanged connections. For added control, operator options such as t-slot, 2” square nut, bare stem, and gear operation are available. Ball options include full or regular port, with straight or concave profiles – giving you the flexibility to meet a wide variety of application needs.

Trunnion Mounted / API 6D Ball Valves
Trunnion mounted ball valves differ from floating ball valves by incorporating a trunnion – a fixed support at the bottom of the ball – that absorbs pressure from the flow and keeps the ball securely in place. This design makes the seal independent from the flow/pressure and reduces stress on the ball and seats, maintaining stable sealing performance with spring loaded seats. BROEN’s Ballomax trunnion mounted ball valves are engineered for demanding high-pressure environments, featuring a double-block and bleed design, secondary sealing capabilities, and optional fire-safe ratings to ensure maximum safety and reliability in the most rigorous conditions.
Two Valve Styles
(1) Standard Trunnion Mounted – Designed with a fixed support and ideal for high-pressure applications in large-diameter pipelines.
The standard trunnion mounted ball valve features a fully welded carbon steel body with a 304 stainless steel ball and stem, eliminating potential leak paths and ensuring long-term durability. Available in sizes from 8" to 24" and pressure ratings from ANSI 150 (285 PSI) to ANSI 300 (740 PSI), this valve line includes PTFE self-relieving seats for reliable performance. Like all BROEN valves, it is designed for maintenance-free operation. To meet specific pipeline requirements, the standard trunnion offers customization options, including end configurations such as weld end, flanged end, and weld x flanged, as well as enhancements like stem extensions, special coatings, pup welding, and valve automation.
(2) API 6D Monogrammed/Certified Trunnion – Built with a fixed support and engineered for conditions where compliance with stringent industry standards is required.
The API 6D 6FA Q1 certified trunnion mounted ball valve is available in either a fully welded or bolted design to suit your application. Built with a carbon steel body and A350 LF2 + ENP ball, this valve offers a full port option and is available in sizes from 3/4” to 36” with pressure ratings from ANSI 150 (285 PSI) up to ANSI 600 (1480 PSI). The advanced seat design features dual seats – primary synthetic with secondary metal fire-safe – and can be configured with either self-relieving or double piston effect seat options. Ideal for high-demand applications, this valve includes a range of performance-driven features: fire-safe construction, seat and stem injection ports for lubrication/sealing/flushing, 100% full port flow, positive stops, standard horizontal or optional vertical gear operators, and integrated drain and vent ports.

Polyethylene (PE) Ball Valves
For corrosion-free performance in plastic pipeline systems, BROEN’s injection-molded polyethylene (PE) ball valves deliver the durability and safety your system depends on – available in the largest port sizes in the industry. Designed for durability and reliability, these valves are an excellent choice for expanding or maintaining PE pipeline networks. Manufactured without any metal components, they eliminate the risk of corrosion and fluid contamination – making them ideal for natural gas distribution applications.
Two Valve Styles
(1) Medium Density – Made of PE 80 / PE 2708 yellow resin.
(2) High Density – Made of PE 100 / PE 4710 black resin.
The PE valves accommodate pipeline sizes from 1/2" to 16". Their rugged design meets or exceeds ANSI B16.40 and ASTM D-2513 standards. With options like gear boxes for larger sizes and extra-long pup ends for easier tie-ins and fusions, Ballomax PE valves deliver reliable performance and installation flexibility across your entire system.
