Mainline Scrapers are used in the exterior pipe preparation for electrofusion. The scrapers are made of machined aircraft aluminum and used on pipes 1-1/4” IPS – 12” DIPS. Each mainline tool will do a range of pipe sizes, which makes tool inventories smaller and less expensive. The Mainline Scrapers adjust to the specific pipe size and are then locked in place. They are designed for both coupling and sidewall fusions. Each tool comes with a 4-sided carbide-tipped cutter that will last a long time and is inexpensive to replace.
